Why Rural Garbage Service? 

Service Update – Wednesday, February 11th.

Garbage Routes: All routes are operating on the normal schedule this week.

Recycling Routes: Recycling collections were delayed by one week due to the major winter storm that impacted North Carolina from January 30 to February 1, 2026.

Please refer to the revised pickup schedule below:

Original Monday (January 26) → Rescheduled to Tuesday, February 3rd & Monday, February 16th

Original Tuesday (January 27) → Rescheduled to Wednesday, February 4th & Tuesday, February 17th

Original Wednesday (January 28) → Rescheduled to Thursday, February 5th & Wednesday, February 18th

Original Thursday (January 29) → Rescheduled to Friday, February 6th and Thursday February 19th

Original Monday (February 2) → Rescheduled to Monday, February 9th & Monday, February 23rd
