SEE OUR OFFICIAL STATEMENT BELOW:

Our hearts are with people around the world and our country who have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.  This pandemic has affected everyone's lives, including those of our collectors and customers.  We are very concerned about the health of our employees, not knowing all the facts of how the virus can spread.  We are a small based company that still uses collectors on the back of our trucks.  Therefore, Rural Garbage Service had to implement a new policy due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus risk. At this time, it's mandatory that all trash be bagged inside all receptacles.  No loose trash or bags outside of receptacles will be collected. Any cans that we approach with loose trash will not be emptied until your next service date and the issue is resolved.  We are trying to limit the exposure to our collectors and to prevent the spread of this virus to them and the possibility to our customers.  We need each and every one of our employees to feel safe and healthy, so that we can continue serving you. We are also asking our customers that may, unfortunately, develop symptoms to please contact our office so that we can make special arrangements to service your home.  We will keep all contact information anonymous.  Please let us know so that we can protect our employees and customers.

Our goal is to continue providing services for trash removal and it will take our great customers to help protect the spread of this virus.  Please make sure all garbage is bagged and sealed moving forward.

Recycling Customers

We regret to inform you, that we will suspend our recycling service effectively April 1, 2020, due to Covid-19 risk. We anticipate a restart of the program July 1, 2020. We had to suspend the program, due to the fact of exposed recyclables(commingled) and recycling centers will not allow bagged recyclables. Recyclables can be taken to one of the three convenience recycling centers in Forsyth County. View locations here. Customers can elect to deduct the recycling charge for Q2/2020 or any recycle payments for April, May & June will be applied to the next quarter(Q3 July-Sept 2020).

We thank our customers for cooperation as we move forward.  Please check our website regularly in case we have to make new arrangements for servicing your home. We are honored to be a part of your lives and wish you all good health.  Thank you again for helping protect our employees and customers in our community.  If any questions, please call our office at 336-993-4307.  Our office is currently closed for visiting customers, but we are still open for phone calls and payments can be dropped off using the door slot with instructions on the door or payments can be made online at our website www.ruralgarbageservice.com.

Sincerely,

Rural Garbage Service
